"Kashtan"

Submachine-gun "Kashtan" was created on "Kiparis" submachine-gun base for Russian special forces. It is one of the most modern Russian submachine-gun. Creating it there can be felt detectible influence made by "Uzi" submachine-gun. Firstly round clip inserted into pistol handle and fast changing barrel. "Kashtan" considered to be one of the best modern submachine guns.

Barrels box is fully made from stamped steel without plastic parts. Magazine is inserted into pistol handle what allows to fire using only one hand.

Reloading handle placed from the left side isn't tightly connected with lock in case of it handle stays inertly in extreme forward position during fire. Barrel is connected removable so it can be changed in some seconds. Dismountable barrel has one more advantage: it is easier to clean unlike fixed one's. Barrels serving time is at least  6000 rounds. Firing mechanism executes single and unremitting fire. It's single shooting fire accuracy in 50 m range is 0.04 m, and 0.1 in 100 m distance. Shooting with short series accuracy is 0.09 in 50 m and 0.225 in 100 m distance. 

Submachine-guns abilities are increased about 20 % by 9 x 18  mm PMM round which has higher initial speed and better stopping effect. In it's overall characteristics it is compared with 9 x 19 mm Parabellum round. In 10 m distance PMM bullet shoot's through 4 mm steel plate. 

"Kashtan" has folding butt-stock which is fully collapsible into submachine-gun when isn't used. It is equipped with open sight. Submachine-gun has ability to use laser or collimator sights and suppressor.
